To say that the function on Saturday night was a huge success would be a total understatement. Thank you very much to all in making the effort to be there, and I think that we’ll all agree that it was well worth it. Once again, a big shout out to the committee that helped put the event together….may there be many more.

There are several things that stood out on Saturday night….

· To Jimmy and Chris, thank you to you guys for starting what we have all been so proud to be a part of, and your speeches on Saturday night were a great touch to the evening.

· The “Lamberts” and their inspirational Hakka display.

· Current Praetor Acutts fitting speech in true form as a current member.

· The last few members leaving the bar at VCC to much disappointment, at 05h30am .

· The VCC staff finding three members passed out on the grass verge outside Cordwallas school at 07h00am.

· Squire Chedzey locking himself in a vehicle and not being able to get out again. Yes, locking himself IN.

Squires have always been known to never shy away from an alcoholic beverage, and Saturday night was no difference. The approximate alcohol sales were….

· 960L of beer.

· 35 bottles of Rum

· 29 bottles of Cane

· 18 bottles of Whiskey

· 16 Bottles of Vodka

· 10 Bottles of Brandy.

That’s an average of 5.3L of beer and half a litre of pure spirits per person. Good form gentleman!

The photos from the event have been posted and are ready for your viewing. A big thanks to Squire Collette for his efforts on the night. Photos can be viewed by logging on to
www.kevcollett.com (this is not a porn site) and clicking on the Squires logo at the bottom of the page. Please advertise to all.

To those of you who were not able to make the function, it was a great pity to not have you there, and hopefully when we all meet up again, you’ll be able to join us.

Once again, a huge thanks to everyone for making the effort to be there.

Until next time, may we all stay in good health.

Regards,

Stu Berry
