Squires Reunion

The venerable gentlemen's club, the 21 Squires of Bacchus, will be celebrating its 50th anniversary this year.

To mark the achievement, a Squires reunion is to be held in Maritzburg later in the year. The principal organiser, Stu Berry, has put in a huge amount of work to compile a database of past Squires, and the process of contacting as many as possible is ongoing. Your help in spreading the word is essential.

Here's the latest news from Stu:

It seems that we have a large group of men that are extremely keen to get stuck into some of the amber liquid, and a large number of guys keen for golf as well. Regarding partners at the reunion, it is unanimous that it should be an Old Squires function only.

The original dates sent out have had to be changed somewhat, as there has been a big interest from overseas based Squires to attend the function, and they have all asked for some more time to organise appropriately, and so Saturday the 18^th October has been set as the date for the Squires 50^th Reunion. The day will start with golf at VCC in PMB, where we have booked 12 four balls already. Details of the golf will be passed on at a later stage. That evening, we will have a black tie function at a venue TBC.

In the meantime, please cast an eye over the list of past Squires in the database. Those names with email addresses have already been contacted, but there are many with no contact info and it's here that we need your help in locating these guys and letting them know about the reunion.
